Privacy
- What we collect: your email address, the month and day of a date (we do not ask for the year), a label for what the date is, and, if you choose to add it, a first name and a short note. Your browser also tells us your time zone, so a reminder arrives in your morning rather than the evening before. On a page that asks two questions, we record which one you answered. Nothing else.
- Why: to keep your dates for you and to send the reminders you asked for.
- Where it lives: on our own server, in a database run by Cloudflare. Names and notes are encrypted there with a key that belongs to your record alone, and your email address is stored encrypted as well. Your address, the date, and the first name you gave us, in the wording of the reminder itself, also go to MailerLite, the email tool that sends the reminder a month ahead. The note on the day itself and your sign-in codes are sent through Resend, a second email tool. Each of them holds your address and nothing else about you.
- Your dates are yours: the page that holds them is free, and will stay free. There is no account and no password. When you want to see your dates we email you a six-digit code, and typing it signs you in on that device for sixty days. The link in a reminder email opens them too.
- Seeing it and deleting it: from your own privacy page you can download everything we hold, decrypted for you, and delete all of it in one action. Deleting destroys the key as well, so anything that survived anywhere is unreadable by anyone, including us. We keep one thing: a one-way fingerprint of your email address, so that we never write to you again.
- No tracking: no cookies for advertising, no pixels, no third-party analytics. The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you signed in to your own dates, for sixty days or until you sign out, and it is used for nothing else. Cloudflare serves this site and handles standard server logs per their policy.
- Never sold: your information, and the dates you recorded, are never sold or shared. Not to anyone, not ever.
- About other people: a name you save is stored encrypted here and is used for one thing, which is showing it back to you, on your calendar and in the reminders. We do not contact the people your dates are about.
- Leaving: every email includes an unsubscribe link, which stops the emails. To remove the dates as well, use the delete button on your privacy page.
- Questions or removal requests: message the shop where your gift was purchased and we will take care of it.
